Workshop – Clay + Plants

Join us for an evening of elemental creation with this collaborative workshop led by Herbalist, Katie Reed and Ceramic Artist, Laura Schmalz .

You will learn to make your own dried floral bouquet with guidance from Herbalist, Katie Reed. You will be led through a fun and thorough process which will allow you learn more about wild botanicals and to create your own dried arrangements at home!

Laura will guide you through a fun hands on process to paint your own ceramic vase. Preconstructed vases will be available and you will be able to customize your design with bright and beautiful colours. Your vase will then be fired and glazed at the Bright Side Studio and you will be able to pick up your gorgeous new vase from Dundurn Market within two weeks from the workshop

*Since your clay work will need to be fired in a high temperature kiln, you will leave you finished pieces with Laura at the end of the workshop. She will fire and glaze your piece at her studio and package everything up for you to pickup at Dundurn Market by July 15th.

Our workshop will be hosted by the lovely folks at Dundurn Market after hours. They will kindly keep the cafe open for us so you will be able to purchase some snacks and refreshments.
